What do you get with that box when you purchase an Xbox one S? You get the Xbox one S, an Xbox controller, a power cable for the Xbox and a HDMI cable for the Xbox to connect it to the TV. The price of the Xbox one S is $249. It also comes with a 4K Blu-ray player as part of the Xbox, saving you the cost of buying a Blu-Ray disk player which currently runs anywhere from $60-250.
The Xbox S also has multiple add-on’s that you can purchase. One of the add-ons is Xbox live for $59.99 a year, or $9.99/month or $24.99 for 3 months. You can get a great protection plan for the Xbox for $49 for 3 years of protection in case you drop your Xbox, or it gets damaged due to some other mishap. You can pick up an additional controller for the Xbox in various colors that start at $59.99 and up. There are high end controllers called the elite controllers that you can pick up for $150 each, that gives you programmable buttons for combos. Xbox game pass is an addon that you can use to check out new games released on the Xbox one exclusively. The cost of Xbox game pass is $9.99 a month. Xbox is easy to set up and you can either connect it to your wireless network or a wired network at your home. It integrates with your existing Microsoft account if you already have one. You will need Xbox live to be able to access online content and play with your friends online. If you are coming from an Xbox 360 most games are backwards compatible with the Xbox one. Game pass is a great way to test games out before you buy them and before they leave game pass. You can also get discounts on games buying them through Xbox live. You can stack 5 years of Xbox live total.
If you have a 4K TV and a Netflix subscription that supports 4K, it’s the highest level of subscription on Netflix, you can view Netflix’s 4K content on your TV. You can also play Blu ray disks in 4K if you own a 4K tv with the Xbox. The sharper image of the HDR games makes a big difference when gaming on the Xbox.
If you are going to be doing a lot of gaming with the Xbox, we recommend purchasing the rechargeable battery pack for $24.99. This is due to the controllers running on 2 AA batteries and if you game a lot the batteries will wear down quickly. If you want to chat with your friends while you game on the Xbox there is a headset for $59.99. the headset is a stereo headset that plays exactly what is being played on the TV and gives you the option to use the microphone to chat with the people you are playing with.
Would we recommend this to someone? The answer to this question is yes, we would recommend this product to someone, because we have enjoyed using it for hours on end. The Netflix app on here allowing you to play the 4K content if you own a 4K TV is great and playing 4K Blu-ray is cheaper then what a 4K Blu-ray player would cost you at this time.
