The Organic Homemaker is an online store based in Washington state. While they don’t have their own website, I find that to be perfectly fine. I have reviewed web hosting companies on this blog before. When a business is small and just sells very specialized products, like The Organic Homemaker, it really doesn’t make much sense for them to invest lots of money to create and manage their own website. The hosting costs and domain pricing for a website, may seem enticing, but the problems with security, updates, managing and other issues are not really worth the trouble when a company is just starting out selling specialty items. I applaud The Organic Homemaker in their wise decision to open their Etsy store front.

What I’ve found most enjoyable when dealing with The Organic Homemaker was their customer service, and the owners can do attitude. I did ask some stupid questions about their products when deciding which one I would try out and review. Hint: I settled on the coffee bath bomb, as I will explain later. I wasn’t even sure how to use a bath bomb because I had never used one before. The owner kindly explained how to use it. Every interaction I had on Facebook with The Organic Homemaker made me feel that I was appreciated as a customer, and not just some dumb redneck Kentuckian who don’t know anything.

Shipping was a breeze once I decided what I wanted to purchase from them. All totaled, it was under $10 for the small coffee bath bomb, shipped directly to my door here in KY. I had no problem getting it and was excited to try it out as I had surgery that week. The bath bomb couldn’t have arrived at a better time. I ordered the bath bomb on Tuesday night, and it was in my mailbox Saturday ready try.

The owner makes her bath bombs out of completely organic material. In fact, all her products are made of organic materials (e.g. The Organic Homemaker). I would go out of my way to purchase additional organic products from her to help support her efforts to be a little different. I really appreciated the willingness of the owner, or whomever answers their Facebook messages. I felt they really went above and beyond the service normally rendered to helping their customers. I would also like to give a big shout out the owner. When I received my bath bomb, I also received a very sweet hand written note with it. I appreciated the fact they even took the time to write me a note to go along with my order.

Now on to the review of the coffee Bath Bomb that I purchased from The Organic Homemaker. I had surgery on Thursday of that week, so Saturday was the first time I could actually shower or take a bath. And since my bath bomb arrived that day, I figured I may as well use it. I filled my tub with water and so that I could use the bath bomb. I then sat in the warm tub, dropped in the bath bomb and could instantly smell the coffee. The bath bomb made me feel very relaxed. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to do that, but I must say it was enjoyable to just sit and relax in a warm tub of water and take in that smell of coffee from the tub. No coffee stains were found in my tube once I drained it either. I assume it must be the way in which their all organic system works. The smell is there, but not the residue.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed a wonderful experience with The Organic Homemaker and their bath bomb. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for something that is soothing and relaxing. I would also purchase products from them again, both for myself and as gifts for others. Their customer service is top notch, and while they are a small entity, they are extremely enjoyable to interact with on line.
