What can you select for bundling with the Xbox all access? You can get an Xbox one X, or an Xbox one S 1 terabyte models. The bundles include 24 months of game passes and 24 months of Xbox live. You an get multiple bundles that include games with the specific Xbox you choose. However, It can’t be pre-ordered from either Xbox.
What is required for Xbox All Access and what is it? You have to choose which model of Xbox one you want first. It requires a Dell Preferred Account from Dell. It is a 24-month of equal payments at 0% interest. It is actually cheaper to do this than purchase the Xbox and Xbox live and Xbox game pass separately.
Let’s examine why. This is why if you look at costs of everything involved. First, there is a discount involved when you purchase with the All Access for Xbox. You purchase the Xbox One X 1 TB model which costs $499.00. You have the Xbox One S 1 TB model that costs $299.00. Xbox live will run you $9.99/month or $59.99/year, if you purchase 1 year at a time. Xbox live will cost another $119.88 over 2 years if you purchase 1 year at a time or $239.76 if you have Xbox live on a month to month basis. Xbox game pass is $59.99/6 months or $9.99/month. So, over 2 years, the Xbox game pass will cost you $239.76. So, what is the total cost to purchase an Xbox one X with 2 years of game pass and 2 years of Xbox live comes to $858.64. If you purchase Xbox one X and pay month to month over the 2 years you will be spending $978.52. Purchasing the Xbox one S with the same fixings as the one X will cost you $658.64 over 2 years. If you do the month to month with the Xbox One S live and game pass, it will cost you $778.52. Those are the total costs to you if you outright purchase the Xbox without the all access path.
Here is where it saves you money to get the Xbox one X or one S with an All Access plan. You will get a discount with the one X when purchasing it with the Xbox all access. So instead of the $858.64 you will be spending $834.76 spread over 24 months or 2 years. So your monthly payment at 0% interest is going to be $34.99/month. If you take the Xbox one S deal and purchase it with the Xbox All Access plan, you again get a discount on the Xbox, and it will run you a total of $527.76 spread over 24 months. So, your monthly payments are going to be $21.99/month at 0% interest.
Is it worth it to purchase the Xbox outright, or to go with the Xbox all access route? If you are just looking to just get an Xbox one, without all the bells and whistles and don’t want to spend 2 years paying it off then yes purchasing the one X for $499 or the one S for $299 is a great idea. Or, if you are uncertain about all the games or playing games with others, you might want to just play with game pass and Xbox live for a month or two. If you are uncertain or don’t want to make a 2-year commitment to these, it makes more sense to buy the Xbox outright and to just buy a monthly subscription to these extras until you know what you want. You may find that you love playing only one or two games by yourself, or that you really do want to play multiple games with other people.
However, if you are new to the world of Xbox and want to get the full experience of playing a multitude of games with others for a couple of years, then getting the All Access is a great introduction. It will give you the Xbox live subscription and the game pass subscription as part of that deal. Then, over the next two years, you can decide whether and which Xbox games you enjoy the most.
